This Privacy Policy explains how Hostdab handles personal information when you visit our website, create an account, use our cloud services, or make a payment.
1. Information we collect
- Account information, such as your name, email address, authentication credentials in protected form, account membership and access permissions.
- Billing information, including your billing name, address, phone number, tax information, invoices, transaction references and payment status.
- Service and technical information, including resource configuration, usage measurements, IP addresses, request logs, access and security events, and information you provide when seeking assistance.
- Content you choose to host, upload or process on our infrastructure. You decide what customer content you place in your resources.
2. How we use information
We use information to operate and administer accounts and cloud resources, authenticate users, enforce permissions, measure usage, process billing, respond to requests, investigate abuse, protect services and meet applicable legal and accounting obligations.
3. Payments and AutoPay
Razorpay and participating banks process payment details and authentication. Card numbers and security codes entered in the payment form are transmitted to the payment processor; Hostdab does not store full card numbers or CVV values. We may retain payment identifiers, mandate references, payment status and masked card details to manage billing, refunds and authorized recurring payments.
Payment providers handle information under their own policies, including the Razorpay Privacy Policy. Enabling AutoPay requires a separate payment authorization.
4. Cookies and local preferences
We use session cookies for sign-in and security, and cookies or browser storage for preferences such as display and currency settings. Your IP address may be used to suggest a country or billing setting. Blocking required cookies can prevent sign-in or other features from working.
5. Sharing and service providers
We share information where needed with infrastructure and payment providers that support the service, with people you authorize to access your account, and where required by law or reasonably necessary to address fraud, abuse or security incidents. Information may also be transferred as part of a business reorganization or transfer, subject to applicable protections. We do not sell personal information.
6. Customer content and processing locations
You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to host or process information about others. Hostdab processes customer content to provide the resources and services you request and as needed for security, support and legal obligations. Service providers and infrastructure may process information in different countries; applicable protections depend on the relevant service and law.
7. Retention, deletion and security
We retain information as needed for the service, billing, dispute resolution, security and applicable legal obligations. Deleting a resource or closing an account may not immediately remove accounting records, security logs or information subject to legal retention. Retention for these purposes is not a backup or recovery service.
We use access controls and technical safeguards, but no system or transmission can be guaranteed secure. You are responsible for protecting credentials, configuring access and keeping independent backups of customer content.
8. Your choices and requests
You can update available account and billing settings, manage access permissions and disable AutoPay through the console. Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or a copy of personal information, or to raise a privacy complaint. To make a request, contact your existing Hostdab account or support contact and identify the account concerned. We may need to verify your identity; some information must be retained for legal or accounting purposes.
9. Children
Hostdab is intended for adults and authorized business users, and is not directed to children. Do not create an account if you are unable to enter into a binding agreement under applicable law.
10. Policy changes
We may update this policy as the service or legal requirements change. The current version and its update date are published on this page. Where legally required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent.
